The Centro de la Memoria Monseñor Juan Gerardi (Monsignor Juan Gerardi Memory Center) is an initiative of the Oficina de Derechos Humanos del Arzobispado de Guatemala, which seeks to preserve and disseminate the legacy of Monsignor Gerardi.

The information it has responds to the recommendations of the Informe “Guatemala: Nunca Más” (Report "Guatemala: Nunca Más") in relation to disseminating the recent history of Guatemala. Through the development of educational material and formats and the supply of relevant literature, the aim is to increase the level of knowledge on issues of Human Rights and Historical Memory so that the violent acts of the past are never repeated.

This space seeks to make the information accessible and useful to the investigation for victims and their families, researchers and academics, as well as for entities that seek truth and justice.
