Contact History

In 1959, contact occurred between the Iskonawa and a group of missionaries from the South American Mission. Around 25 Iskonawa individuals lived at the foot of El Cono hill. However, soon after this contact, they moved to the Calleria basin, an area surrounded by Shipibo-Konibo settlements.

This collection includes narratives about this contact, the actors involved, and the subsequent actions after this event.
