Traditional narratives have been orally transmitted over generations among the Iskonawa people. During family gatherings, the grandparents share narratives about the origin of the world, explain why it is the way it is, and various ancient characters.

Among these narratives, many ancient characters stand out. These include the paucar bird, the sloth Pani macha, the boa Kene iro. Other characters which appear belong to other groups such as the Ohnebakebo and the Yoishi. Finally, traditional narratives introduce some spirits like Iwiri, Inokayokoma and Henhentash.

This collection offers a sample of this vast knowledge to share with new Iskonawa generations and other people through a digital format and additional new technologies.
