- Map of the Virgin of Guadalupe shrine complex and valley in perspective. The artist included the surrounding towns of Tecoma, Zacatenco, Santa Isabel, San Juan, Santiago Atzacualco, and San Lorenzo. The original shrine, which rests atop Tepeyac Hill, and the basilica at the base occupy the right side of the composition. The artist also identified the surrounding hills: Tecpayotepetl, Chiquiuhqo, Guahuitzco, Tepetlacoalli, Yzhuotepetl, Xochitla, Jexixipetzco, Quauhtlamazoalco, Yohualtecatl, Zacahuitzco, and Yohualtecatl. He also depicted nearby landholdings, plant life, people, animals, waterways, Lake Texcoco, architecture, a bridge, and roads throughout. The artist added letters near natural and architectural landmarks that can be cross-referenced to a perspective he created of the religious complex (Plate II). —— Mapa del complejo del santuario de la Virgen de Guadalupe y el valle en perspectiva.
